Israel Lewis is a Licensed Professional Counselor for the last 25 years and the founder and director of the Sulpher Springs Counseling Center in Sulphur Springs, Texas.  In this episode Israel describes his battle after  a routine surgery had life altering complications and changed him forever. Israel's motto is "We are Better Together" and he talks about how the relationships and connections in his life brought him back from a life threatening illness and helped him understand the impacts of trauma and tragedy. Israel is a true example of  how the determination, love of life, and connection to others can provide strength and comfort in the darkest of times.
